DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER

About BMNT:

BMNT is a unique company looking for people who are a great fit for our culture. We were founded in 2014 with the mission to help national security organizations solve problems. In 2016, Forbes Magazine named us one of America’s Top 25 veteran-founded startups and in 2018, INC ranked us as one of the 1,000 fastest growing private companies in the US. We work across the military, government, academic, startup, and corporate communities to address urgent technological and operational needs. We are looking for people with a passion for our mission, the ability to thrive in a chaotic environment, and a desire to elevate individual and team performance.

A Deputy Program Manager assists the Program Manager in managing a team and supporting a contract. Typically, DPMs have 5-7 years of experience and have held leadership positions in the past.

You belong on our team if:

  • You enjoy solving complex, fascinating, oftentimes intractable problems.

  • You’re a self starter and can take guidance and run with it to achieve meaningful results.

  • You are detail-oriented, can manage multiple projects at once, and take pride in your team producing high quality work.

  • You are flexible and can react to uncertain situations with creativity, determination, and a good attitude.

  • You know what it takes to be a good mentor and help others achieve their goals.

  • You can learn new subject areas quickly and take pride in being able to speak intelligently about them.

Your  typical day may include:

  • Strategizing with your Program Manager the best way to help your clients navigate an uncooperative bureaucracy.

  • Communicating a complex government problem to a potential industry partner, and securing their attendance at a multi-day event in Boston.

  • Conducting market research on underground mapping for an intelligence agency.

  • Helping your client put together a brief for their agency’s director.

  • Working with an analyst on your team to improve the clarity of a report they’ve written.
